Think about the possible answers you might get when you ask someone what they do and which industry they work in. Design, marketing, architecture, banking, finance, engineering, consulting, cooking, wine making, nightclub operating, e-commerce, film making, music production… what else? oh come on people, be creative!
Let me introduce you Sam Bompas and Harry Parr. A future politician and a former architecture student respectively.
This British duo, today both gelatinous engineers, is merging jelly, art and some imagination to create sophisticated pieces of art of this traditional treat. They use this tiny piece of history, dating back to the Victorian Era, to inspire most of their fantastical creations – such as flaming and even glow-in-the-dark jellies. Not only it’s quite fun to simply look at them wobble, but some contain flavors like Rhubarb-Rose, Campari-Soda and Black Cherry-Prosecco that is tough to resist.
Bompas and Parr joined forces in 2007, in their words, to ‘”restore Jell-O to its culinary throne.” Seems like these uber-creative and utterly original artists have come a long long way. Scroll down below to see what I mean.
